INSURANCE

Is my auto insurance primary or secondary?
Road Warriors holds $1,000,000 combined single limit liability and $350,000 cargo insurance. This insurance covers any cargo damage done to your vehicle in transit. Your insurance covers all acts of God (hail, tornadoes, earthquakes, rock slides, etc.).

Should I pay more money for a lower insurance deductible?
Absolutely not! Most carriers have deductibles between $1000.00 and $5,000.00. Regardless of cargo damage done to a vehicle you should never have to pay a deductible either way. If a carrier requests an additional fee for deductible they are only attempting to get a higher price.

Can I get Proof of insurance for the truck transporting my vehicle?
Upon written request (via email or fax) we will fax you Road Warriors verification of insurance with complete details of the driver's specific coverage. Road Warriors is fully licensed and bonded.

What should I do in the unlikely event if my vehicle arrives with damage?

  • The first thing you should do is make sure the driver understands that the damage is new and was not on the original inspection sheet.

  • An immediate call must be made to Road Warriors at 888-636-7623 or 402-510-5052 upon delivery with the driver present.

  • The damage should clearly be marked and noted, then signed for by the driver.

  • Pictures of the damaged vehicle must be taken at the time of delivery and forwarded to Road Warriors.

  • To repair cargo damage resulting from the transportation of your vehicle(s), Road Warriors requests that you fax three estimates to us at 402-891-7167.

  • Road Warriors will view the estimates and request you take your vehicle(s) in for immediate repairs. To find us on the Better Business Bureau, go to www.bbb.org.

  • Positively no claims for damage allowed, unless noted on the delivery receipt, at time of delivery, and must be submitted with pictures.

  • All claims must be computed at actual cost. This is absolutely necessary under provisions of the Motor Carrier Act.

  • Written claims or estimates of damages MUST be in our office five (5) days after delivery of vehicles and MUST specify Driver’s Name, Date of Delivery, and Type of Car.

  • No claims will be accepted for mufflers or exhaust systems on vehicles over two (2) years old.

  • No claims will be accepted from acts of God.

  • No claims on loading or unloading of disable units.

  • No claims on leaks from units such as leaking fluids, battery acid, anti freeze, etc.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

SHOULD I use a Broker? Can I arrange transport directly with a auto carrier?
Road Warriors is quite different than most auto transport companies. We have our own equipment and drivers plus we have hundreds of independent contractors that provide services for us. We use only select independent contractors that are fully licensed, insured, and with a very good name in the industry. We work as a team to provide you with unmatched service. Road Warriors has staging locations throughout the United States. This allows us to move vehicles quickly with unparalleled service.

Please note that almost all auto brokers demand deposits before your vehicle(s) are picked up. Road Warriors does not require a deposit. We collect on delivery.

What is so important about my vehicle’s inspection sheets?

Vehicle inspections are very important to you, the customer. Make sure your car is washed before inspection. The original Inspection sheet is the record of inspection of your vehicle at pick up. The Inspection sheet is to be signed by both you and the driver after the inspection. Upon delivery, your vehicle is inspected again with the driver and you or your agent present. You or your agent then sign the inspection sheet. Make sure to note any discrepancy between the first inspection sheet and the second. For a clam, please refer to "What Should I do if my Vehicle Arrives with Damage." Any claim, along with pictures on delivery, must be forwarded immediately to Road Warriors.

Do you offer door-to-door service?
We try to offer door-to-door service as much as possible. This means the driver will get as close to your door as they legally and safely can. Many cities have restrictions on large trucks that prohibit them from driving into residential areas. Auto transport trucks are up to 75 feet long and they need a lot of room to maneuver. We can make other arrangements if you cannot meet our driver at a large parking lot near-by. We can work out the details at your time of booking.

TIME FRAMES AND SCHEDULING

How long should an auto transport take?
The dispatcher on duty can give you a "pick up and delivery" window at your quote time. Shipping time depends on location of pick up and delivery, along with several other factors that could influence your a "pick up and delivery."

How does a "pick-up window" work?
When a transporter says "pick-up window" they are referring to estimated time surrounding your pick up date. It is hard to narrow down a time frame until the day before actual shipment.

Why are pick up and delivery times not guaranteed?
An exact pick up date and delivery date cannot be guaranteed. It is hard to narrow down a time frame until the day before actual shipment. Delays can be due to weather, Department of Transportation requirements for driver’s hours of service, other "pick up and deliveries", traffic, maintenance issues and many other factors. If a company informs you that they can pick up or deliver a vehicle on an exact date you could be in for disappointment. Road Warriors will call you 24 hours in advance of both pick up and delivery.

FEES AND GUARANTEES

How does auto transport work?
Auto transport is very simple. You should receive a call from the driver or dispatcher 24 hours in advance of your pick up date. The driver will arrive, inspect the vehicle with you and then load it on the truck. The reverse happens at the delivery point. The driver or dispatcher calls in advance; you will inspect the vehicle with the driver for cargo damage and take delivery. Remember - Road Warriors never requires a deposit.

Why does a truck or SUV shipment cost more than a regular sedan?
Shipments are based on weight and size of each vehicle that a truck can legally carry. This is why there is a price difference for pickup trucks, SUVs and vans. Vehicles that are taller and longer also require additional fees. Vehicles with specialized or custom modifications to the vehicle’s exterior may also require additional fees.

What protection do I have that Road Warriors Auto is reputable?
Road Warriors is a member of the Better Business Bureau (Honor Roll), Omaha Chamber of Commerce, ATA (American Trucking Association, NTA (Nebraska Trucking Association) and ACC (American Car Carriers. To find us on the Better Business Bureau, go to www.bbb.org.  We are also the official auto transporter that donates our drivers and trucks to the organization Cars 4 Christmas. Road Warriors is also a corporate sponsor of Teams Together, Inc.

What is your refund policy?
Road Warriors is so confident of the way that we do business that we do not require a deposit. We pride ourselves in being there for you. We believe that customer service is the most important aspect to any successful business. Our promise to you is that we collect only after you receive your vehicle(s).
